24 Hour Emergency Service:  Our doctors carry a pager 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are always available to handle our clients' emergencies anytime, night or day!

 

Electrocardiography Services:  We can provide ECG services on-site as well as offer consultations with cardiology specialists via Cardio pet, a trans-telephonic transcription service.




Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. 





Dentistry:  Our dental services include routine teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery when needed. All dental procedures are followed by appropriate pain relief medications when indicated.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop individualized programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and ticks in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

 

 

 

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

 

 

 

Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing as well as basic grooming services are available.

 

 

 

Intensive Care Unit:  Our intensive care unit is complete with Oxygen therapy when needed.  It is located in our treatment area where your pet can be kept under constant observation by doctors and technicians so that any changes in your pet's condition will result in immediate attention.

 

 

 Isolation Ward: We provide an isolation ward for all pets with contagious diseases so they can be treated comfortably and effectively without risk of spreading disease.

 

 

 

Medical Records:  Our in-depth medical record keeping system allows all doctors in our hospital to follow your pet's treatment plan; review all laboratory results and read about all surgical procedures. If your pet needs emergency treatment or needs to be seen by more than one doctor, your pet's medical history is complete and accurate.



Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite allows us to perform a wide variety of surgical procedures. Our modern surgical suite includes the safest gas anesthetic available, visual ECG monitors, warming pads for all patients, sheepskin covered tables and monitoring by a trained veterinary technician. All will be done to see that your pet's needed surgical procedures are conducted as quickly and painlessly as possible thus ensuring a speedy recovery and a quick return home. 

 


Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. In addition we work closely with a boarded radiologist who is available for consultations when needed.




 

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. Our lab allows us to process your pet's blood work quickly so that treatment can be started immediately when needed. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.



Behavior Services:  All of us at SVVS have a special interest in pet behavior. It is our goal to help your pets remain a valuable family members and to improve the bonds you both share. Our services include helping you to correct common problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We also offer Pre-Purchase Consultations, Preventative Behavior Counseling, AKC Canine Good Citizen Training Classes, Behavior Management Products, Basic behavior counseling, Medical Investigation and in depth Behavioral Consultations with Dr. Peggy Rucker who is a graduate of the North American Veterinary Post Graduate Institute in Animal Behavior.

 

 

 

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. Our boarding facility features 20 indoor/outdoor runs and 4 kitty condos for your pet's home away from home. We also offer regularly scheduled "play-time" for all of our canine boarders in our fenced-in back yard. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring and compassionate staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Special arrangements may also be arranged for drop off and pick up on Sundays for our regular boarders.We also offer boarding drop off service after hours for our regular clients, should you have and emergency and need to leave your pet in good hands.
