Sarah Musick started working here at SVVS May 15, 2006, as a Kennel Attendant and graduated from Honaker High School shortly thereafter.  She lives with her parents, Gayle and Keith, her brother Brett and 2 puppies, Isabella Grace, a Rat Terrier, and Kaylee Brook, a mix.
Sarah's job is to care for the boarding animals and to make sure that the hospital is clean and smelling fresh for the clients and patient that come to visit us.  She likes the  challenges that working here creates for her.  She is growing into a efficent and effective worker.  She would like to become a Veterinary Nurse someday and feels that working here will help her on that track.  Sarah has a great love for the animals that she cares for and she tells us she learns something new every day..  Her moto is "I will not back down from a challenge."  We at SVVS will be watching her as she emulates this motto.

Rachel Thayer is one of the newest members of the SVVS family.  She began working in the kennels on August 1, 2006.  She lives in Lebanon, Virginia with her mother and brother when she is not attending Lebanon High School, playing Varsity Tennis, teaching her Sunday School nursery class or working here at her "other" home.
One of the things she likes about this job is the family atmosphere with the co-workers, patients and clients.  She also loves animals which is a good thing since she has a Jack Russell Terrier named Penny, and a Black Labrador Retriever puppy named Rex at home who love her besides all the dogs and cats she cares for while here. Rachel is happy that the work includes some play with the animals as she particularly likes the several scheduled playtimes in the kennel. Rachel also is learning to help the doctors in many different ways. She is learning all about animal husbandry and she is hopeful that this job will help her pursue her goal of becoming a veterinarian technician after graduating from high school and college.
We will definitely keep an eye on her progress towards her dreams
.

Tiffany Mabry is another one of our newer kennel attendants. We first met Tiffany when she took the Veterinary Assistant Class that the staff of SVVS taught last year at the Russell County Vocational School.  Like most of our other attendants, Tiffany is working and going to school at the same time. Tiffany's love and compassion for the animals make her a great kennel worker. Tiffany is also blessed to have a wonderfully sweet voice which she proudly shares with her church on a regular basis.
