No DescriptionLynn Vaden is the Office Manager.  She has been employed in many  capacities here at SVVS beginning when she started as a volunteer at the age of fifteen as part of a school project. She started as a combination Kennel Attendant/Veterinary Assistant the following summer and spent many weekends and summers working here throughout high school and college. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. is Animal Science in 1989. After managing a swine farm for 2 years she returned to SVVS in 1991 in her present capacity. She has a special interest in dog obedience and is the assistant instructor for the Canine Good Citizen classes. Lynn lives in Belfast with her husband Bill and son Caleb. .They share their home and lives with their four-legged children, Target, a rescue Aussie-mix, and five Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dogs, Jammy, Muddy, Rogue, Delta, and Ace, as well as two cats 14 year old cat, Sir, and new kitten, Vixen. They also have 3 horses.

Lynn enjoys showing her catahoulas in conformation competitions and in working events competitions, which consist of obedience, coon treeing, and hog baying. She is very proud of Muddy, who is a UKC conformation show Grand
Champion, and was the #1 Catahoula in UKC for the 2005 show year and took the Award of Excellence at Premier, where he also finished his qualifications for his Family Obedience title and achieved his Total Dog award. With these accomplishments Lynn has decided to retire him from UKC competition and focus him on the National Association of Louisiana Catahoula (NALC) show where he can still compete for his conformation championship title as well as the working events in which he was ranked in the Top Ten for Nationals last year as well, and will now start Ace, Muddy's son in the UKC conformation ring this coming spring. Delta is a UKC Conformation Champion and took Reserve Champion each day at Premier last year, but she also enjoys the working events in NACL. Jammy and Rogue also compete in the working events in NALC and have both done extremely well this past year with Rogue winning a belt buckle in the National Treeing competition.

Lynn and Billy welcomed their new son Caleb on October 28, 2006.  Lynn is now back at work with us only two days a week as she enjoys her new  son and  motherhood.
