Kayla has been an Animal Care Specialist since June 2011. She took veterinary classes at the Russell County Career and Technology Center while in high school and went to Cedar Valley College to obtain her Veterinary Assistant Certificate.
​​​​​​​She loves spending time outdoors; fishing, hiking, and camping. She also loves spending time with her eight pets: Norman, Bixby, Kali, Mae, Charlie, Tye, Maddie, and Ruger.

Jeremy started his position at SVVS as a kennel attendant in January 2017. He presently studies Biology at UVA-Wise and SWCC in anticipation of applying to veterinary school and graduate school in the future.

​​​​​​​He is the pet parent of a Yorkshire terrier named Bendi, who he adores unreservedly. He enjoys hiking, swimming, volunteering, and advocating animal rights outside of work and college. Working at SVVS is a superlative experience for Jeremy because it is a never-ending learning environment.

Chloe started as a kennel attendant at Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services, in November of 2019. Chloe grew up in a small town called Dungannon, Va. As a kennel attendant, Chloe’s responsibility is taking care of boarding animals and sick animals in the hospital so their stay at Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services can feel as if they are right at home. Chloe really enjoys coming to work and providing for the animals and giving them the love they need to feel right at home. Chloe is currently going to Southwest Virginia Community College to get started on her future goal to become a Veterinary Technician. When she is not working at SVVS, you can find her spending time with family, going on adventures, and camping. Chloe has a dog, Waylon who is a Border Collie, 2 cats, Kitty and Blue, and a horse, Belle.

Kasie started her role as Kennel Attendant at Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services, located in Lebanon, Virginia, in October of 2019. She grew up and still lives in Lebanon down a road called Moccasin Valley. Kasie is a junior at Lebanon High and plans to go to college and pursue a career in veterinary medicine. As a Kennel Attendant, Kasie is responsible for taking care and watching over the dogs and cats that comes in to board or in the hospital and notify a veterinarian if there is something wrong with an animal. When she isn’t working at SVVS, you’ll see her either farming or hanging out with her friends in town or spending the day with her animals at home. Kasie has 3 dogs, Fudge who is a lab/retriever mix, Trixy Ann who is a border collie, and Bo Duke who is a Blue Heeler/Australian shepherd mix. She also has three cats, Sambo, Leo, and Little Bit and also a calf named Lucky.

Austin has been a part of the SVVS family since August 2013. He is currently studying at Virginia Highlands Community College to get his Associate Degree in Business Administration. His has a black lab named Riley and a Yorkie named Nikko, whom he loves more than anything, and a cat named, Gus.

One of the hobbies he likes to do is traveling. He loves to go on trips with his family and to see places he has never seen before. He loves working at SVVS because he learns to not only take care of the animals but to treat them like family.
