Did you know here at SVVS we take in injured wildlife? This is a FREE service we provide for the community during office hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:30 am-12pm & 1:00-5:00 pm and Wednesday 8:30-12:00.
We have a wildlife fund that you are able to donate to, which helps us provide this service! You can make a monetary donation, bring gift cards by the office or we also have an Amazon wishlist if you’d like to purchase any of the items to donate for our wildlife care! All of those donations are tax deductible. Here is the link to our Amazon Wishlist http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/2GJ27I3SN5TBK
You must be extremely careful when handling wildlife. There are certain species that are considered rabies vectors and rabies is transferred through saliva and we are not allowed by Virginia State Law to take these in. We recommend you contact the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center of Roanoke at 540-798-9836.
If you have any questions regarding wildlife, please give us a call at 276-889-5515 and we will advise you to the best of our abilities.
Local Rehabilitators can also assist you with any needs you may have. Call or send them a text for assistance.
